First Love

First Love: A Women's Guide to Mentorship

A mentor is someone who offers help and experience to a less experienced, often younger person.  First Love is a mentorship resource designed to support women who want to obey Titus 2:3-4 by encouraging younger women in the faith.

First Love reminds women that all forms of discipleship must pour from a heart that is in love with Jesus. Jesus asks us to keep Him as our first—our primary—loveFirst Love shows both mentors and mentees how to stick close to Jesus, depend on Him in the day-to-day, and steward everything they have for His glory. Specifically, the First Love mentor guide reminds mentors that discipleship is not about having theological expertise or exciting life experience; it’s also not about having it all together or knowing all the answers. It’s about surrendering every part of our lives to Jesus and leading our mentees to do the same.

Both the First Love mentor and mentee guides include six sessions: Jesus First, Family & Relationships, Service & Mission, Home & Hospitality, Mind & Body, and Vocation & Finances.

Each session of First Love offers the following:

  • Personal anecdotes that bring session topics to life
  • Minor theological teaching on given topics
  • Stop and Consider questions for mentors and mentees to discuss
  • Additional resource suggestions
