How To: Format (Erase) SD Card

Before pressing record make sure to clear off old video footage from the SD card.

To do this:

1. Tap anywhere on the touch screen

2. Tap "Menu" in the bottom left corner

3. Tap the down arrow

4. Tap "Other Functions"

5. Tap "Format Media"

6. Tap "SD CARD 1"

7. Tap "Yes" to confirm you want to erase the card

8. Tap "Yes" again to double confirm

9. Wait for the card to be formatted. (Due to the size of the card this may take 30 seconds. Do not power off the camera or turn off the wall power strip while this is running.)
