How To: Set Up the Teleprompter

• There are two teleprompting apps to choose from. After you’ve imported your script (see instructions below), place the iPad in the teleprompter holder on the camera. Be careful to not move the camera up and down.

1. PromptSmartPro

•  This is a new app that will track the text along with the words you say. So far it has worked well, however, you can fall back to the other app if this one isn’t working.

• Import Scripts:

a. Tap "+" in the top left corner

b. Tap "Import Script"

c. Select your cloud service and login

d. Select your script to download

• Change Settings:

a. Select your script from the list

b. Top the "Gear" icon

c. Enable "Mirror Vertically"

• Start Prompter:

a. Tap the "Play" button

b. Tap the "Play" button again

2. Teleprompt+ 3

  •  This app has been battle tested for years by Story Team. It is very basic. No smart features. Use this app as a backup to PromptSmartPro.
  • Import Scripts:
    • a. Tap the "Scripts" button

    b. Tap "Download"

    c. Login to your cloud service

  • Change Settings:
    • a. Speed

    b. Mirror Text

  • Make Sure that "Mirror Text" is enabled so that you can see it correctly in the teleprompter mirror.
  • Start Prompter:
    • a. Tap "Start Prompting"
