Baptism

Baptism is one of the two ordinances practiced by The Austin Stone, along with communion. Each of our congregations holds a Baptism Class on a regular schedule. During this class, a pastor or elder will share what baptism is from the booklet linked in the blue box below.

Whether a person is being baptized as part of a Sunday service, prayer service, or with their group, we ask that they attend this class so that we can walk with them through the important step they are taking, and also so that our church staff leaders and elders can know these men and women and help them continue to grow in Christ.

The booklet also contains information for parents who are seeking to discern whether or not their child is ready to be baptized.
