Deacon Handbook and Workbook

The Deacon Handbook is an important resource for deacons. It is an anthology of ministerial, theological, and philosophical reference materials, and it is meant to help deacons engage in their important work at The Austin Stone. These materials were written by various elders and leaders of The Austin Stone over the past decade. Some you should become familiar with, and others would be helpful to periodically reference in the months and years to come.

Congregation teams use the Deacon Workbook for the training and onboarding of new deacons. It includes pre-work and five sessions of content and homework.
