Doctrinal Distinctives

While the reality of the life, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Christ as the sole means of salvation is the undeniable center of biblical Christianity, there are a number of peripheral doctrines that any given church may not hold to and might still be considered biblically faithful. These are issues like the inerrancy of Scripture, the five points of Calvinism, and the mode and timing of baptism, and The Austin Stone is no exception. We do in fact hold strongly to and emphatically teach doctrines that someone can reject and still love Jesus.
