If you are onboarding someone in the next month or two, here is a quick overview of what to expect for you and your employee. While the HR Team continues to expand and improve this process, this is our starting point. We welcome any feedback or comments!
The Why
Onboarding Goals

- Build Healthy Relationships - They feel safe and known among the people they do ministry and have a reputation of trust among their coworkers
- Know Your Role - They have a clear understanding of their area of ministry through modeling and practice, and they know how to be successful in their role
- Equipped with Resources and Tools - They understand the what and why, and have a growing knowledge of how each resource and tool is used in their role.

New Hires will be added to all appropriate events and supervisors can view as needed.
Asana
The HR team will create a New Hire checklist in Asana for all new hires and share with the supervisor and new hire about 2 weeks prior to the employee's start.
This checklist is broken into different operational sections for ease of navigation. It is a starting point to ensure the new hire has the appropriate access, communicated expectations, and has reviewed all necessary processes and procedures as an employee of The Austin Stone.
This checklist is optional. Feel free to add additional tasks related to your team specifically, assign owners, remove unnecessary tasks, and add comments as needed.
