What to expect from contracted janitorial services
Regular Cleanings vs. Additional/Event Cleanings
Janitorial services are scheduled and managed by the Facilities Team. Regular cleanings occur weekly at all facilities. Due to the size of each facility, different aspects of cleaning each building are spread across multiple days of the week. Please see below the schedule for each campus.
Regular cleanings include:
- removal of trash in all spaces,
- cleaning restrooms, refilling soap, paper towels, and toilet paper dispensers,
- cleaning windows, wiping down high-touch surfaces,
- sweeping/mopping/vacuuming floors, cleaning of high-touch areas,
- general cleaning of trash/dirt/dust.
If you notice these things are not happening as they should, please complete the maintenance request form. The sooner you notify us the sooner we can remedy any issues.
Additional/Event cleanings are triggered by events (internal or external) outside of normal building usage. These triggers include:
- food served during the event,
- the event is held in the auditorium or lobby, and/or
- you or your participants will not be removing trash after the event.
The Cost of an Additional/Extra Cleaning
- For the City Center/STJ Campus: $225 per additional cleaning (effective August 2022)
- North Campus: $225 per additional cleaning (effective August 2022)
- Northwest Campus: $225 per additional cleaning (effective August 2022)
- West Campus: $150 per additional cleaning (room & restroom use only); $225 per additional cleaning events with food/drink (effective December 2023)
- South Campus: $150 per additional cleaning (room & restroom use only); $225 per additional cleaning events with for more than 50 people in attendance and/or food/drink is served (effective December 2023)
Why do I need to request an additional cleaning if janitorial services will be in the building on the same day as my event? That is an excellent question! Events that trigger an additional cleaning require more time from the janitorial crews. In one shift they may not be able to accomplish both regular cleaning items and additional areas. The additional cost also covers the extra manpower/services an event necessitates. By scheduling an additional cleaning, the janitorial crews can plan adequate time and personnel to clean all spaces so no one is walking into a partially cleaned area the next day.

Regular cleanings on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday
Northwest
- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- The Auditorium is cleaned on Monday
- The Portables are cleaned on Tuesday
- Restrooms are serviced during each visit
West
Regular cleanings on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday
South
Regular cleanings on Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday
